GEDeducare Readiness course is dedicated to helping you to prepare to pass your High school Diploma!
Home Students completing their High school Diploma in South Africa can join one of our group of learning centres. Tests for the High School Diploma are written after the age of 16 to obtain their grade 12 (NQF4) equivalent.
GEDeducare readiness course students can work from home or join any one of our group of learning centres to prepare them.
If you are using a laptop or computer, use Chrome as your browser and if you are using a tablet, use the Puffin browser. Ensure you have Adobe Flash Player loaded! This will assist you to avoid having issues with term tests.
There is no exam schedule and there are various exam locations where you can book the exam once student is ready.
Exams costs $60 per subject.
Results are given on the same day, before student leave the exam location and a transcript will be emailed to you!
Outside of USA there are no longer levels of passing. You either get a passed or failed status. The pass mark is still 145.

The testing program’s origins are rooted in educating young members of the military returning from World War II. The GED® test is America’s only nationally recognized high school-equivalency test. Since 1942, the GED® test has been an important part of education and a vital second-chance opportunity.
More than 20 million people have passed the GED® test. It’s been called the largest high school in America, and it’s instrumental in changing lives.
The 2014 GED® is a series of 4 subject tests, which is considered an equivalent to Grade 12 (NQF 4) and the American High School Graduation Diploma.
The GED® test has Four subjects:
On the day of the exam, on arrival at the testing center, students must provide one of the above documents to be allowed to write the examinations. Birth certificates are not accepted.
SAQA recognises the GED® as being comparable to the South African National Senior Certificate (NSC).
Further, according to Higher Education Enrolment, a programme of Universities SA (formerly HESA), you may apply for a letter to study at a South African University with a GED® Credential.
Contact your University of choice to confirm requirements for admission as it is your responsibility to apply for the certificate from Universities SA!
